Jim Pyle was born in Newark, Ohio on March 29, 1944. Mr. Pyle was First Team All-Ohio in football in 1962 for Newark High School and was inducted into the Newark Athletic Hall of Fame in 2002. He graduated from Cornell in 1966 and University of Michigan Law School in 1969. While there, Mr. Pyle served as a member of the University of Michigan Law Review.
Mr. Pyle served the community as President of the Newark Lions Club, Newark Area of Chamber of Commerce, and Licking County Bar Association. He also served on the Board of Trustees for the LIcking County Public Library.
Mr. Pyle practiced in the areas of taxation, real estate, estate planning, probate, and business law.
Jim passed away December 26, 2007 after a long illness. Jim brought the highest standards of scholarship, loyalty, and integrity to the practice of law with our firm. He commanded and deserved the highest levels of respect and affection from his clients, his partners, his fellow workers and his community. Jim brought to our practice a unique blend of wisdom, diligence, and dedication to high quality legal work. He cannot be replaced and he will never be forgotten.
