David W. Wenger

Mr. Wenger joined the firm in 1982 after serving for nearly three years as counsel for the State Medical Board of Ohio. Born in Akron, Ohio, Dave is a 1976 honors and Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the College of Wooster. He obtained his law degree in 1979 from The Ohio State University.

Mr. Wenger's practice areas include civil and personal injury litigation, insurance defense, probate litigation, domestic relations and family law, and mediation. He is also involved in bar association activities, and in 1996 was a member of the Ohio State Bar Association's Special Committee on Civil Justice Reforms. In addition to being admitted to practice law in Ohio, he is admitted to practice in the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio.

Mr. Wenger is quite active in the community, having served in many civic and volunteer positions. He was formerly President of the Licking County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities for seven years, Vice President of Planning for the Board of Trustees of the United Way of Licking County, and member of the Newark City Civil Service Commission. Dave is also a member of the Kiwanis Club of Newark, having served as its President in 1989-90.

Mr. Wenger and his wife reside in Granville and have three grown children.
